Adidas and DCS join hands
DUBAI - An exclusive two-year sponsorship agreement has been announced between adidas Emerging Markets LLC, the regional distributor for adidas sports and leisure footwear and clothing, and the Dubai Creek Striders, one of the countries leading running clubs, a press release said.
Under the agreement, adidas becomes the Official Outfitter for the Johnson Arabia Dubai Creek Striders Half Marathon, which is widely recognised as one of the most popular half marathons in the country. The announcement comes as the Dubai Creek Striders begin their preparations for the 10th running of this prestigious event.
Under the agreement, runners of the Johnson Arabia Dubai Half Marathon, to be held on December 9, will receive a premium quality adidas performance T-shirt. In addition, adidas will supply products from its latest range of sports clothing and footwear to all officials and marshals involved in the event.
Osman Ayaz, Managing Director of adidas Emerging Markets, commented: “The Dubai Creek Striders has been active in supporting and encouraging the sport of running since its inception in 1995. Adidas is delighted to form this partnership and support the local running community. We look forward to working with the Club to make this year’s half marathon the biggest and best yet.”
