Protest organizers deny accusations of anti-Semitism, arguing that their actions are aimed at the Israeli government
Road traffic deaths recorded on Dubai roads fell by 62 per cent during the fourth quarter of 2020, the police have said.
Dubai registered a road traffic mortality rate of 1.8 per cent deaths per 100,000 population during this period. This betters the initial target set by the police, which was 2.7 per cent.
Mohammad Saif Al Zafeen, assistant to the commander-in-chief of Dubai Police for operations affairs, said 147,561 road users benefitted from the traffic police's various awareness initiatives.
These included pedestrians’ safety, maintaining a safe distance while driving, accident-free Ramadan, summer without accidents, and an anti-speeding campaign.
