Saudi Arabia has begun to explore extracting lithium from sea water
According to a senior officer here, the scheme includes a number of lectures on traffic safety, the main reasons behind accidents and how to best steer away from such mishaps. “We need to educate all the students of the emirate how to properly and safely get on and off the school buses,” said Major Saeed Obaid bin Aran, Director of the department.
“Students’ adherence to the traffic safety golden rule, whereby they learn how to carefully get on and off the school bus, has helped reduce run-over accidents on the emirate’s roads, particularly before schools in the mornings and afternoons,” he added.
The UAQ Education Zone and all the schools of the emirate are effectively involved in the programme. “The Traffic Awareness Section will start a new programme for the new academic year to develop students’ traffic awareness all the year round.”
