The schools will work towards providing a trusted and competent avenue for grooming students into independent, socially responsible and well-rounded adults. Also, faculty across schools will have to impart education in accordance with international standards.

The decision was announced following a decree issued by Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qattami, Minister of Education, to set-up a committee to implement the directive. Mandated to ensure the quick and effective implementation of the initiative, the committee is also tasked with developing regulatory frameworks for coordination between relevant authorities and stakeholders.

“A meeting was held at the Ministry of Education under the chairmanship of Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qattami to chart a roadmap for achieving the directives of Shaikh Sultan.

We extend our gratitude to the Minister of Education for his support to facilitate the process of transforming the elementary schools,” said Dr Abdullah Al Suwaiji, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council. Towards this end, the committee will be required to facilitate information and data exchange between all authorities that are involved in implementing the initiative.
