At a Press conference on Thursday, Al Qattami confirmed the biology exam leak but denied that Islamic education papers were accessed by students prior to the exam. He said an investigation committee revealed the leak.

Al Qattami said the cheating was not confined to one emirate, but covered all the education zones in the country. He added that the ministry has mapped out a plan to confront such situations in the future.

Strict penalties will be levied against those who caused the leak of question paper exams, he said. Investigations are going on to identify all parties involved in the incident.
