Education counselors have attached importance to a wide variety of tools in helping students discover their true career potential. We look at the benefits of psychometric tests and how they can help students.
What are psychometric tests?
Developed by expert psychologists, psych tests are multiple-choice questionnaires designed to analyse different aspects of your mind. They create an accurate picture of your natural aptitude which is matched against different jobs, activities and careers to determine the best fit for your personality profile. More and more students are using the power of psychometric testing to unlock their natural potential and guide their careers.
Why are they important?
Students sometimes make poor choices when it comes to higher education and career development. Such students are either forced to dropout and switch to another degree, or they stay on a career path which leaves them unhappy and frustrated. Do I need to study for them?
No, that’s the fun thing about psych tests! You just answer a series of multiple-choice questions as honestly as you can. Most psych tests can be completed in less than one hour! The questions don’t test general knowledge or language proficiency, they just analyse you as a person and identify your strengths. Remember, you can’t fail a psych test. Just be yourself, that’s all it takes!
