The emirate announced a ban on single-use Styrofoam products, including cups, lids, plates, beverage containers, and food receptacles
Sultan Hussein Karmastoji, Deputy Academic Director for Student Affairs at the HCT, said the HCT has strict measures regarding cheating, whether in exams or in practical projects, and will not tolerate any offences whatsoever.
“Boy and girl students are well aware of this, because the college had distributed to them the student prospectus booklet on the foundation year,” he said, noting that the booklet contains all academic procedures and regulations.
The decision on expulsion is applicable on any student found cheating in exams, or on a group of students caught cheating in exams, he explained. During each and every exam, the students are warned not to resort to cheating failing which the examinees will be finally dismissed from the college.
The expelled students had submitted a petition of grievances to the administration of the HCT in Abu Dhabi, but their plea was rejected as the incident was proved.
