The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) is recruiting for 876 new teachers - both Emiratis and expats - for the next academic year.
The jobs are to fill both teaching and support positions in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Western Region.
The positions are open for KG, Islamic Studies, Arabic, Science, Math, English, Social Studies, Physiology, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Social Workers and Special Education, as well as psychologists.
Mohammed Al Dhaheri, ADEC's executive director of School Operations, is hoping the teaching openings will particularly attract UAE nationals, as education is key to the future development of the country, and it's of vital importance that the sector maintains a national identity while adopting the highest international standards.
"The new appointments align with ADEC's yearly plan to fill the vacancies according to the needs of schools, and to provide career opportunities that would help attract qualified educators and administrators to work in a variety of disciplines and grade levels in ADEC schools," he added.
Candidates for the teaching positions must have a Bachelor's degree in the subject they're applying for, a minimum overall grade of 'good', and an IELTS Academic certificate with the required score for specific subjects. Preference will be given to candidates with ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence).
