95.9% pass in Kerala HS exam in UAE

Indian Schools in the UAE recorded 95.9 per cent pass in the Kerala Higher Secondary Examination, results of which were announced on Wednesday.

Out of 499 students who appeared for the examination from eight schools, 477 secured eligibility for higher studies. Two schools — The Model School, Abu Dhabi and New Indian Model HSS, Al Ain — recorded 100 per cent pass.

Eight students secured A+ grade in all the subjects. They are Majida Moosa Assainaar (Science) and Liya George Paul and Nusrath Ummer Palath (Commerce) of New Indian Model HSS, Dubai; Haatim Nizar Ahmed, Raza Abbas and Fathima Parveen (Science) and Sherin Elizabeth Raju (Commerce) of The Model School, Abu Dhabi; and Theertha Tulsi (Science) of New Indian Model HSS, Sharjah.

The school-wise results with the number of students who appeared for the examination and number of students who secured eligibility for higher studies are as follows:

New Indian Higher Secondary School, Ras Al Khaimah (44/36); The English School, Um Al Quwain (40/34); New Indian Model HSS, Dubai (82/81); The Model School, Abu Dhabi (107/107); Indian School, Fujairah (39/37); The Gulf Model School, Dubai (106/101); New Indian Model HSS, Sharjah (51/50) and New Indian Model HSS, Al Ain (31/31).
