6 UAE schools record 100% pass in Kerala HS exams

Six of the eight UAE schools affiliated to the Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Education (HSE) recorded 100 per cent pass in the final examinations held in March this year.

The schools where all the students have become eligible for higher studies are: The English School, Umm Al Quwain (41 students), New Indian Model HSS, Dubai (95), New Model School, Abu Dhabi (100), Indian School, Fujairah (61), New Indian Model HSS, Sharjah (66), and New Indian Model HSS, Al Ain (17). MES Indian HSS, Doha, where 37 students appeared for the examinations, also registered 100 per cent victory.

The results were announced by Kerala Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb here on Tuesday. The New Indian Higher Secondary School, Ras Al Khaimah, which enrolled 76 students for the examination, missed the distinction with one student failing to secure eligibility for higher studies.

In Gulf Model School, Dubai, only 83 out of 101 students could secure the eligibility. A total of 594 students had appeared in the examinations from the Gulf. The pass percentage of Gulf students is 96.8, which is much higher than the overall pass percentage. The total pass percentage of 88.8 per cent recorded this year is a record. The percentage last year was 82.25.

As many as 112 schools, including seven schools in the Gulf, recorded 100 percentage pass this year. A total of 3,334 students secured A+ in all subjects. As many as 2,234 students, who secured A+ in all subjects, are girls.
