The three-week programme is being organised by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) for the third year in a row. As part of the internship, students will study biology and economics programmes.

“The programme that runs until July 20 aims to improve educational opportunities for high-achieving UAE students, develop their academic capabilities and foster their ability to work with others from different cultures and expose them to different patterns of life in order to help them acquire self-confidence, independence and the ability to adapt to new cultures,” said Mona Majed Al Mansouri, manager of Guidance and Scholarships at the Adec.

“The students will be participating in a series of courses and programmes that will develop a stronger cultural understanding and expose them to new expectations, responsibilities, and challenges. As part of the internship, students will attend lectures and take part in social activities and excursions to explore the cultural landmarks of Oxford,” she added. The internship programme is offered to third-year undergraduate students studying medicine and engineering, who have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
