UAE expat insults husband in front of their kids, goes on trial

Sharjah - The husband claimed that she would pick fights with him over anything he said.

A husband in UAE has taken his wife to court over allegedly insulting him in front of their kids.

The Sharjah Misdemeanor Court heard the case of an Asian woman accused of verbally abusing her Arab husband.

The details of the case date back to February 27, 2019, when the defendant allegedly insulted her husband in front of their children, which angered the victim causing him to file a complaint in court, Emarat Al Youm reported.

The accused denied the charges in court claiming that the couple had marital issues.

The victim said that he filed the complaint against his wife because she would pick a fight over anything he said and insulted him in front of their four children.
He, however, reportedly said that he would try to reconcile with his wife for his children's sake.

The court adjourned the case until July 22 - to give the couple a chance to reconcile.
