Six arrested for gambling in Sharjah
The Sharjah Police have arrested six Bangladeshis for allegedly gambling, betting and creating public disturbance.
Colonel Abdulgadir Al Amri, Acting Director of Search and Investigation Department, said the gamblers were found staying in the country illegally and were not willing to make use of the amnesty which will end next week.
The arrest on Tuesday was a result of the intensified patrolling campaigns to curb gambling activities, which can often lead to violence.
