A 24-year-old man in Fujairah is facing trial for allegedly using WhatsApp messages for trying to persuade an 18-year-old boy to have sexual relation with him.
According to the Fujairah Police, A.M complained that the accused, identified as M.A, asked him via WhatsApp to have sex with him. He showed the messages to the police as a proof.
During interrogation, the accused denied all charges levelled against him. When confronted with the messages he sent to the complainant, he claimed those were just fun. Yet, the victim told the investigator that he did not respond to the accused’s messages, which made him to hurl insults and curse at him.
Consequently, the man was referred to the Fujairah Public Prosecution, which charged him with attempting to persuade a teenager for immoral activity.
