The police received a large number of complaints from residents that their car windows were smashed and valuables including laptops, cash and credit cards were stolen.

During the investigation, the police grew suspicious of a person who was seen loitering around parking lots in different areas.

The police detained the suspect, an Arab national, who confessed to committing a number of car content thefts during interrogation.

He also told the police that he had stolen a car and driven it to an isolated location in an attempt to sell it.

When carrying out a raid on the man’s house, the police managed to recover all the stolen items from the victims’ cars and were able to return the stolen vehicle to its owner.

The police urged residents not to keep precious or valuable items in their cars when unattended.
