Father jailed for 'sneaking' his child out of UAE

Fujairah - The divorced man did not want his son to stay with his mother.

Fujairah Criminal Court has sentenced an Arab man to three months in prison, after he was accused of 'sneaking' his own infant out of UAE.
After getting a divorce, the mother was given custody of the child. The court provided the father with his right to see the child and spend sometime with him.
However, the father had other plans for their child as he intended to send him to his home country - when he saw him to spend time with, Al Bayan reported.
When the father was late in returning the child back to the mother one day. The worried mother reported the matter to the police as she felt that something was wrong.
The father told the police that the child was with his grandmother (the father's mother) and have traveled back to their home country, adding that he doesn't want the child to stay with the mother.
The man was found guilty and sentenced to 3 months imprisonment.
