Salim Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Control and Protection Department at SEDD, was quoted as saying that in all 100,539 fake products were confiscated from different shops in the emirate during raids carried out to ensure the safety of all economic practices in the markets, spread awareness among traders and consumers, combat commercial fraud, and optimize fair trade practices.
Muhannad Rajab, Head of Commercial Fraud Division at SEDD, also emphasized that the SEDD will intensify such control campaigns throughout the year to protect trademark of international brands.
Furthermore, Muhannad Rajab urged all to report any case of violation by calling 80080000 or by placing the complaint in the consumer protection website www.shjconsumer.ae.
