Consumer groups in Europe have alleged that the Chinese shopping app 'frequently leaves consumers in the dark about who they are purchasing products from'
The boy’s parents have been taken into police custody for interrogation.
Colonel Suliman Mohammed Al Kizzy, Director of the Al Rams police station, said they received a call from the Ras Al Khaimah Hospital around midnight about the boy’s death.
The CID, forensic and patrol teams reached the hospital and checked the body and shifted it to the forensic laboratory for autopsy.
The police and forensic experts visited the house and inspected the room in which he was found hanging using a piece of cloth.
During interrogation, his father said the deceased and his elder son, aged 18, shared the room. His elder son knocked on the door after finding it locked from inside. He kept knocking but no one answered. Then, the family broke open the door and was shocked to see the boy hanging over his bed. The father untied the cloth and rushed him to the hospital, but he had died by the time.
Col Al Kizzy said the investigation is continuing to find out the reasons for the boy’s extreme step.
He urged the parents to watch their teenage children and try to build close attachment with them to understand their problems and guide them on to the right path.
