Zaheer cracked an unbeaten 103 off 138 balls with eight fours and two sixes while Kasim Butt (61 off 52 balls) and Ateequr Rehman (52 off 49 balls) chipped in with equally-impressive half-centuries to propel Al Hamad Contracting to a healthy 303 for seven in the allotted 50 overs.

Asif Iqbal (32 off 28 balls) and Mohammed Azam (20 off 12 balls) then consolidated the Al Hamad Contracting innings. Zahid Shah took three wickets for 29 runs and Aman Shirazi returned with a two-wicket haul for 66 runs, but their efforts were not good enough to prevent Al Hamad Contracting from running away with the initiative.

Nucaf Tellicherry, in reply, were restricted to 172 for nine with Mohammed Adnan taking three wickets for 37 runs. Usman Khalid (49 off 57 balls) and Aman Shirazi (28 not out off 28 balls) were among the runs, but Nucaf Tellicherry could never match pace with the asking rate.
