Smooth sailing for Seven Seas

DUBAI - Seven Seas Strikers defeated Jotun Paints by 43 runs to advance in the on-going 9th Oasis Chemicals Cricket Cup, a press release said.

The tournament is being conducted under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council.

Seven Seas Strikers displayed some exceptional team effort, with Javed Butt scoring 39, Qadir 31. Veteran Freddy Sidhwa was retired hurt after scoring 17 runs.

Among the bowlers, Qadir and Farhan took three wickets each while Shafaqat took two wickets.

The tournament, organised by Freddy Sidhwa of Seven Seas, is being played on the Seven Seas Ground.

All prizes are donated by Venu Gopal of Oasis Chemicals Sharjah.
