Pakistan bans batsman Sharjeel Khan for five years over spot-fixing.
Earlier this year, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had provisionally suspended Islamabad United's Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, after the two were found to be in contact with a few members from a match-fixing syndicate.
It was understood that the two players were said to have met these people near the team hotel, after the opening game against Peshawar Zalmi - in Pakistan Super League - at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in February.
Najam Sethi, the Chairman of the PSL had said: "It would not be appropriate to comment on the specifics of the case, however this investigation is a clear demonstration of our determination to drive corruption out of our sport. We will not tolerate any form of corrupt activity and as this investigation proceeds we will not hesitate to take further decisive action as appropriate."

Opening batsman Sharjeel Khan, who has played one Test, 25 ODIs and 15 T20 Internationals for Pakistan.
In May, Islamabad United coach Dean Jones testified at a tribunal hearing spot-fixing charges against Khan, saying two dot balls played by the batsman during a PSL match were not suspicious from a cricketing perspective.
The allegation relates to a match played between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi held in February, in which Sharjeel scored a single off four deliveries including two dots (balls which result in no runs).
The first of the two balls in question was punched to cover point, while the second was driven to mid-off.
