Over 1,000 students engage in conversations about higher education with qualified representatives from Dubai’s leading universities
In a review from the organisers, Tasheel, which manages centres to facilitate labour application processing for the MoL, hosted the match from 4pm to 7pm in the recreational area at DPG’s Nuzul community that has emerged as a benchmark for staff accommodation in the region.
In the lead up to the day, DPG registered Nuzul residents for the match and selected the teams accordingly. Twenty residents in two teams of 11 faced off in a friendly competition that was designed to encourage a sense of community spirit. Nearly 2,000 residents cheered on their neighbours and were given shirts, caps and sports bags from Tasheel through a random draw.
Arif Mubarak, Group COO, Dubai Properties Group, said: “We are proud to partner with the Ministry of Labour to host this exciting event at Nuzul for Labour Day. Nuzul is a new generation of skilled staff accommodations and this event was in line with our mission to provide an enhanced quality of life for the region’s skilled workforce and promote increased productivity among the inhabitants of Nuzul. We will continue to work closely with the Ministry of Labour to develop facilities that place a greater focus on quality standards for regional workers.”
Saif Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Manager of Service Centre Department, Ministry of Labour, said: “It is important for the Ministry of Labour to participate in a global event such as the Labour Day. This year, the decision to collaborate with Tasheel was taken in order to highlight the services provided by their centres. In doing so, the goal of making sure that our customers have a clear understanding of our service in this centre was achieved. Tasheel has 23 service centres around the UAE that joined us in the celebration of these events.”
Nuzul is an innovative new community that represents a new vision for skilled staff accommodations in Dubai.
