The tournament, held under the supervision of the Emirates Cricket Board and played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council, was organised under the leadership of Mushtaq Ahmed Chowdhary.

In the final, Thrishur CC defeated Hastie International by seven wickets. Electing to bat first on winning the toss, Hastie International were in deep trouble losing their top order with no big score on the board after a good start.

After Mani Subramaniyam and Syed Akbar had given them a reasonably good start, their remaining batsman faltered against the tight and accurate bowling by Thrishur.

Subramaniyam departed after making a dozen from 8 balls with the help of two boundaries, Akbar carried on for some time. However, after Akbar returned to the pavilion contributing 30 from 25 deliveries and reaching the ropes twice, there was a beeline of batsmen to the pavilion.

Naushad Noor, Puneet Kumar, Shridar and Biju Ajaf Ali failed to provide impetus to the score and left without making any contribution worth mentioning. However, Abid and Shakeel put their heads together and gave some respectability to Hastie International innings.

Brief scores: Thrishur CC beat Hastie by seven wickets. Hastie International 150 for 8 (Abid 45*, Syed Akbar 30, Shakeel 21, Jeevan Raj 16, Naushad Noor 10; Raghu 2-14, Sathish 2-39, Sandeep 1-19, Srikhanth 1-23). Thrishur CC 153 for 3 in 17.1 overs (Ashraf Malik 56*, Usman 36, Anil 31, Ramesh 19; Puneet Kumar 1-24, Biju Azaf Ali 1-33). Man-of-the-final: Ashraf Malik of Thrishur CC.
