Both teams made major changes Sunday from the drawn final test in Cape Town last week.

South Africa retained only batsmen Hashim Amla and A.B. de Villiers while captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only survivor for India.

South Africa fast bowler Makhaya Ntini is making his last international appearance after announcing his retirement last year.

It’s the first time a cricket match has taken place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, which was a venue for the football 2010 World Cup.
