ICC spokesman Samiul Hasan told The Associated Press on Thursday that the Pakistan Cricket Board requested the extension.

All other teams have to forward their squads to cricket’s governing body by Sunday.

The integrity committee of the PCB said Wednesday it needed more time for further consideration relating to the clearance of players.

The ICC has suspended three Pakistan cricketers over “spot-fixing” charges. Their hearing is next month in Doha, Qatar.

The World Cup will be co-hosted in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and starts Feb. 19.
