Gulf Indian School on a roll

SHARJAH - Gulf Indian High School, Dubai, posted back-to-back victories in the Sharjah inter-school girls tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, at the Sharjah cricket stadium on Monday.

They first defeated Our Own English High School, Sharjah, by seven wickets and then accounted for The Winchester School by eight wickets to dominate the day’s proceedings.

In another match, Delhi Private School got the better of Indian School, Ras Al Khaimah, by nine wickets, thanks to a fine innings of 14 by Shambhavi Gupta.

Pritam Kumari played a key role in Gulf Indian High School’s win over Our Own School. She snared two wickets for 12 runs and followed it up with an unbeaten innings of seven runs. She also excelled in the match against The Winchester School with an all-round performance (one wicket for six runs and nine runs).

Delhi Private School Dubai beat Indian School Ras Al Khaimah by nine wickets: Indian School 36 for four (Aysha Khan 16; Shambhavi Gupta 2-4, Arushi Aneja 1-4) Delhi Private School 37 for one in 3.4 overs (Shambhavi Gupta 14; Saniya Shaikah 1-11). Gulf Indian High School Dubai beat The Winchester School Dubai by eight wickets: The Winchester School 30 for four (Alia Packeer 8 not out; Mussarat Khan 2-4; Pritam Kumari 1-6, Mahima Sharjah 1-7) Gulf Indian High School 31 for no loss in five overs (Pritam Kumari 9, Jane Abraham 2).
