Gulf Indian, DPS Sharjah win

DUBAI — Gulf Indian High School came back strongly after loosing their first match to beat Indian High School RAK by 15 runs in the fifth Pepsi Vision Cup for under-17 boys, conducted by Maxtalent under the auspicious of Sharjah Cricket Council at the Max Pavilion in Sharjah

Nikunj got Gulf Indian off to a flying start scoring 36 quick runs and his effort was followed up by captain Yassin with an unbeaten 48 as they made 173 for 5 in 25 overs. Salman took 3-26. In reply, Jeremey (35), Akhil (14) and Rameez (22) contributed their bit as the team managed to score 158-8 in 25 overs.

In the second match, DPS Sharjah beat New Model School (AUH) by44 runs.

DPS made 155-3 and then restricted New Model to 111-9. After losing their openers quite early in their innings, Saurabh Gir (35) and Devendu Shekhar (45) put up an impressive middle order stand with a partnership of 75 runs, Devendu was ably supported by Agam (14), Furqan (11) and Yash Shodan (10) as they put 155. Then Devendu (4-16) and Yash (3-33) ran through the New Model batting line up to script as easy win.
