Five-star Prasad leads NPCC to victory
ABU DHABI — Thara Prasad bowled NPCC to a thrilling three-run victory over Emistate Realty and a passage to the last four in the Time Electro Contracting division-two tournament.
Prasad ran through the Emistate batting with a brilliant spell, claiming five for 15 from 4.2 overs to skittle out the opposition for 131 in reply to NPCC’s 134 all out in 22 overs at the ADCC grounds over the weekend.
They meet William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana, while Darwish bin Ahmed face Abu Dhabi Airport Technicians in the semifinals.
Abu Dhabi Gymkhana made short work of Iceberg, knocking off the winning runs in 7.5 overs after bowling out their opponents for 76.
Asim Khurshid bagged four for 13 from his five overs, while Abdul Haq, his opening ball partner, and Mohammed Rehman, the second change bowler, took three wickets apiece.
Ijaz Qayani’s entertaining century went in vain as Tyger went down to Darwish bin Ahmed by six wickets.
