ECT Dubai, 
G Force storm 
into semis

SHARJAH - ECT Dubai and G Force posted comfortable victories to cruise into the semifinals of the Sharjah Inter-Acadmey Under-13 Tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, at the Sharjah Stadium and Al Dhaid Cricket Village.

ECT Dubai defeated Desert Cubs by four wickets while G Force got the better of UTC Cricket Academy by five wickets.

ECT Dubai first restricted Desert Cubs to 118 for three in the allotted 20 overs and then raced to the victory target in 18 overs. Irtiza followed his two-wicket haul with a brilliant knock of 40 to stamp his mark on the match. Akshay Kurui (26) and Niketh (14) were the other two main scorers. Earlier, Desert Cubs had built their innings around Atharva (43) and Raman (35 not out).

In the other semifinals, G Force were in complete command of the proceedings right from the outset. Brief scores: ECT Dubai beat Desert Cubs by four wickets.
