The last pair of captain Vikrant and Shafiq played sensibly and made 18 runs helping Danube make a healthy score of 99 runs in their full quote of 16 overs.
The batting by all players was so sensible that Danube lost only two wickets in the 16 overs. Dubai Pearl started of well with Navneet and Ashli putting on 23 runs in their 4 overs but after that Danube bowlers, led by Faiyyaz and Arif, pegged back all the other pairs of Dubai Pearl and eventually won the semi-finals by a big margin of 60 runs. Arif was declared the man-of-the-semi-finals for his all-round performance.
Danube now awaits the winners of the second semi-finals and will play the final on Saturday.
