Batting first, Al Attar were all out for 122 in their 20 overs despite a promising start. Opener and captain Jahangir gave them a good start by cracking 30 from 28 balls with five boundaries and a six over cover. Nabeel made 24 from 21 balls in the middle order but none of the other batsmen could stand up to some tight bowling by the Al Ain CC bowlers.
Yousuf returned with a five-wicket haul, conceding 18 runs, while Bilal took three for 24. CH Nisar picked up two wickets.
In reply Al Ain Cricket Club had a shaky start and were 22 for the loss of three wickets at one stage. But Bilal stepped in and scored 53 which was studded with five boundaries and a lofted six. Abid made an unbeaten 35 with five boundaries as Al Ain Cricket Club made reached the target with three overs to spare.
Bilal was adjudged the Man of the Match.
The other semifinal between Bin Mosa and Daly and Lulu International Exchange will be held on Friday. The final is slated for April 15.
