The Emirates Foundation for School Education said the last date for participating in the survey is March 24. They can choose one of two modes: Distance education or in-person learning.
Most of the public schools in the UAE had continued with the remote learning system during the second semester, which began in January, as a precautionary measure to protect students and teachers from Covid-19.
The spring vacation for students is scheduled to start on Friday, March 26, and will continue until April 15, according to the school calendar announced by the Ministry of Education at the end of the last academic year.
For the teachers, their spring vacation will begin on April 4 and end on the April 15. The third semester will begin on April 18.
The spring vacation is for all public and private schools that follow the UAE government curriculum. As for private schools following other curriculums, the break will be for three continuous weeks, or two straight weeks, with one week accommodated over the rest of the year.
The Emirates Foundation for School Education has attached a link for the opinion poll to the circular, which it recently issued and distributed to all schools and kindergartens.
Authorities also sent a video link to school administrators, explaining how to obtain the data from the survey. Results from the survey for each school will be collected according to the approved form.
The survey focused on detailed monitoring of the basic data for each student, their academic stage or grade, school name, choice of education system (remote learning or in-class lessons), and the emirate.
In the survey, parents are also asked on whether they want their children to use the school bus or not and whether the family members have taken the Covid-19 vaccine.
Results from the survey will be announced later.
