Coronavirus: UAE reports 3,966 Covid-19 cases, 3,294 recoveries, 8 deaths
Dubai - The new cases were detected through additional 168,781 tests.
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Thursday reported 3,966 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 3,294 recoveries. Eight deaths were also reported.
The new cases were detected through additional 168,781 tests.
The total number of cases in UAE as on January 28 stand at 293,052 while total recoveries are 267,024. The death toll rises to 819.

The UAE on Wednesday announced fresh updates to travel protocols that will take effect from Sunday, January 31, onwards.
Among other rules, travellers arriving in Dubai will need to produce a negative Covid-19 PCR test result with a validity of no more than 72 hours before departure.
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) also issued a circular outlining a number of updates on the precautionary measures to be followed by private healthcare facilities in Dubai.
All appointments must be booked in advance, with a minimum interval of 20 minutes between appointments. A minimum distance of two metres should also be maintained by patients in waiting areas.
Meanwhile, across the GCC, Bahrain and Oman also announced tighter measures to battle the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
