Ministers of the UAE and Israel on Monday discussed bilateral ties on health and scientific research, including efforts to beat the Covid-19 pandemic.
AbdulRahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, the UAE's Minister of Health and Prevention, had a phone conversation with Israeli Minister of Health Yuli Edelstein.
Al Owais and Edelstein discussed ways to strengthen the two countries' partnership in the medical field, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry and medical research. They also reviewed how frameworks for cooperation in the fight against Covid-19.
Future projects, including those related to partnerships for vaccine trials and treatments for the virus, were explored, along with an exchange of delegations.
"Due to the circumstances imposed by the pandemic, there must be concerted efforts in the field of medical research," Al Owais said.
