Coronavirus: UAE reports 2,742 Covid-19 cases, 1,691 recoveries, 17 deaths
Dubai - Over 31.5 million tests have been conducted in the UAE to date to combat the spread of Covid-19.
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Thursday reported 2,742 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 1,691 recoveries and 17 deaths.

The new cases were detected through 235,797 additional tests.
Over 31.5 million tests have been conducted across the UAE to date as part of the country's massive screening programmes to combat the spread of Covid-19.
The total number of cases in UAE as on March 4 are 402,205 while total recoveries stand at 387,278. The death toll rises to 1,286.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday announced it would indefinitely postpone the Pakistan Super League after six players and a support staffer tested positive for Covid-19.
“The PCB, as an immediate step, will focus on the safe and secure passage of all participants,” the cricket board said, adding that it will also make arrangements of further Covid-19 testing, provide vaccines and will also assist in providing isolation facilities.
Meanwhile, Sharjah Police has announced that it will employ a 'zero tolerance' policy towards illegal gatherings flouting Covid-19 rules in the emirate.
Groups of teens meeting under buildings, men playing games in green areas and squares, beggars and gamblers are the focus of the new campaign.
The announcement comes as 13 people in the emirate were fined for violating Covid-19 safety measures while playing cricket earlier this week.
