Oman's ministry of tourism said on Wednesday, March 18, that it is asking tourist groups to leave the Sultanate and return to their countries due to a lack of clarity over the coronavirus outbreak, the ministry said on Twitter.
Oman also suspend the entry of non-Gulf Arab citizens to the sultanate as part of measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus, state media reported.

The government also ordered the suspension of Friday prayers, a ban on social gatherings such as weddings and funerals and the closure of public parks.

It was also decided to apply quarantine on everyone arriving in the Sultanate through all land, sea and air ports.
