Former Italian football referee Pierluigi Collina has blown the whistle and signalled for the game to be played on despite a massive foul, quite literally, but for a good cause.
The 60-year-old, an absolute legend in the world of football refereeing, has put his weight behind the Dubai Sports Council's campaign 'Be Fit, Be Safe.'

The Italian ace, who has officiated in an astonishing 466 matches which includes, World Cups. UEFA Champions League, Euros and the Olympics, apart from World Cup qualification fixtures and the Italian Serie A, sent out a message to the people of Dubai and the residents of the UAE on staying at home, staying safe and staying fit during these testing times.
"Salam walekum, dear friends in Dubai and UAE. It is a very difficult time for all of us. To be safe, we must stay home. And we must take some time to do some home work out. Be fit and be safe," Collina said in a video message.
Portugal' former World Player of the Year Luis Figo, Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos and former French star Nicolas Anelka had earlier sent out video messages on social media, urging people in the UAE to stay fit as they cope with life indoors due to coronavirus.
