Despite Kohli's flowing form ahead of the T20 World Cup in June, pundits have raised concerns over his strike-rate
The maestro will be performing at the Dubai World Trade Centre to celebrate Eid al Adha.
Speaking ahead of his Dubai show, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said: "I am looking forward to coming to Dubai again on Friday, 16th September at the Dubai World Trade Centre to perform live for all my fans in the UAE. I am very excited to perform some brand new material and of course the classic hits for all the fans. See you there!"
The show will feature new songs and a catalogue of his classic hits from the last few years. Having released his most recent smash hit 'Jag Ghoomeya' from this season's highly anticipated Salman Khan Eid blockbuster 'Sultan', Rahat continues to deliver hit after hit. In just the last one month 'Jag Ghoomeya' and his own solo release 'Tumhe Dillagi' have notched up over an incredible 45 million hits combined on YouTube.
For the upcoming Dubai concert, one stand out moment will be a new unplugged segment, which will see Rahat Fateh Ali Khan perform a stripped back acoustic set of hits like never before.
The show will also have the maestro sing classic qawwali songs, including memorable numbers from his uncle, the late, great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The new production was premiered this week at a headline show at London's iconic O2 Arena on Pakistan Independence Day.
Concert organisers Purple Venture Entertainment said: "Having worked with Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the last few years, we are delighted to bring him back to Dubai this September in what will no doubt be another spectacular live show. He is a true maestro of his genre and is a wonderful live performer, an artist who is very much loved here in Dubai. In what will be a fantastic show to celebrate Eid al Adha, buy your tickets early and on 16th September enjoy the genius of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan."
