Street Dancer 3D, directed by Remo D'Souza, and shot in Punjab, London, Dubai and Mumbai, is about two rival dance groups from India and Pakistan who are hot competitors. D'souza calls the film "an inspirational story and family entertainer."
"The story of Street Dancer is close to my heart. The way Varun, Shraddha (Kapoor), and I are bringing the story alive on the screen, the audience will become a fan of the film. It is an inspirational story and a family entertainer," Remo had said in an interview to IANS.
"Dance and acting both are performing arts. The more you do it, the more you mature. That is what happened to Varun and Shraddha. I am impressed by Varun's maturity as a dance performer. Of course, we have collaborated before, and we know how good he is as a dancer. But in our upcoming film, he has really taken it to the next level," he added.
Street Dancer 3D is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Lizelle D'Souza. In the trailer, Varun is introduced as Sahej from India and Shraddha as Inayat from Pakistan. The film's music is composed by Sachin-Jigar, Tanishk Bagchi and Badshah. Dhawan recently shared that his favourite song from the film is Dua Karo, sung by Arijit Singh.
Tickets for the event start at Dhs60 and are available at platinumlist.net.
