When it comes to performing in Dubai, Sonu Nigam is a veteran. He knows what he’s doing and the sell-out crowd can all testify to it. After all 13 UAE concerts in 14 years is no mean feat.

“Performing in Dubai is a professional singer’s delight - particularly when a full house concert is attended by such a musically knowledgeable audience, and all of them are singing along with you at correct pitch and scale,” he said after his recent concert at the Dubai Tennis Stadium.

“It makes me want to applaud them before they applaud me.

“This is such a rare phenomenon...in my experience across all my shows worldwide - I notice such keen and precise musical awareness only in Dubai. To add to it, the extreme warmth and love that Dubai music lovers show me each and every time, which draws me to Dubai every year with new, unique and innovative concept events.”

The concert was organised by Oberoi Middle East as part of this year’s Dubai Shopping Festival. Founder and chairman Naresh Oberoi is a big Sonu Nigam fan.

“The four-hour concert was especially designed and formatted by Sonu himself, compiling his personal favourites from his wide repertoire of Bollywood hits. Together with his entourage of 60-members Sonu won the hearts of all his Dubai fans and once again proved that he is the incomparable Badshah of Bollywood Music.

“It was an absolute privilege that our event was selected as one of the headline events for the prestigious Dubai Shopping Festival’s 20th Anniversary Celebrations 2015.

“Naresh Ji and I have always believed in raising the bar of live entertainment to the highest level and give the audience much more than what they expect from us every time,” Sonum concluded. “I promise to give all my musical fans in the UAE more spectacular events in the future.”
