these two integral elements of the Dubai Autodrome promise to redefine the UAE driving experience in a never-before-seen manner.

Speaking on the occasion Saeed Kalfan, Chairman of Dubai Autodrome, said, “The Dubai Autodrome is the answer to the region's need for an integrated hub for motor sports. By launching the Kartdrome, thousands of people, both young and old, can now realise their dream of knowing what it feels like to be in a motor racing environment.”

Referring to the Race and Driving School he added, “It was high on our priority list to add a social element to the whole driving experience. The Race and Driving School will make everyday city drivers much more responsible and aware of the role they play in daily life by teaching him or her how to set an example on the road.”

The thrilling 1.2 km Kartdrome circuit features 17 testing corners and is expertly designed to give it the flexibility of being divided into two smaller circuits. The circuit accommodates 40 cars at a time and provides every conceivable amenity needed to enjoy a complete karting experience. Karts of different specifications to accommodate different ages and skills, a racing shop selling spare parts and memorabilia and more are on offer. David Terrien, world champion in GT, Sportscar and Go Kart and manager of the Kartdrome, said, “We wanted to ensure that no one misses out on the unique feeling that only karting can provide. Whether it's a 7-year-old having his first feel, a professional racer or even the average office-goers looking for a weekend with a difference, we can accommodate them all.”

Among the numerous options available will be racing on an arrive and drive basis, numerous team building activities for groups and corporate. Similarly, the Race and Driving School also offers one the chance of making their motor dreams come true, but in a much more controlled environment. Aspiring speedsters can use the School to begin their journey towards top-flight racing, and the world-class facilities here will provide the perfect platform for that.

The Dubai Autodrome was launched in March last year, and has already proved immensely popular judging by the response to it hosting the final round of the FIA GT championship. And now, with the Kartdrome and the Driving and Racing School, Dubai Autodrome will simultaneously redefine the way people drive on the roads and make many a dream come true.
