UAE, Singapore ink investment deal

SINGAPORE- The UAE and Singapore signed here on Friday the agreement on protection and promotion of investment at the conclusion of the visit by UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs Obaid Humaid Al Tayer and the accompanying delegation to Singapore.

The agreement was signed by Lee Yi Shyan, Singapore Minister of State for Trade, Industry and National Development in the presence of Khalifa Saif Al Mazrouei, Charge d’ Affaires of UAE embassy in Singapore.

The deal follows the continued efforts of the Ministry of Finance to promote the international financial relations with various foreign countries to support investment and encourage economic development. It brings the number of agreements struck by the UAE to protect and encourage investment to 39 agreements.
