UAE increases petrol, diesel prices for September

The UAE's Ministry of Energy on Tuesday increased petrol and diesel prices for the second consecutive month in line with surge in global crude price.
Unleaded gasoline 98 price has been increased by 6.3 per cent from Dh1.89 to Dh2.01 per litre for the month of September. Unleaded gasoline 95 has been raised from Dh1.78 to Dh1.90, an increase of 6.7 per cent. In addition, unleaded gasoline 91 price has been raised from Dh1.71 to Dh1.83 for the next month. Diesel price has been increased by 12 fils to Dh2 per litre.
In 2017, petrol prices in the UAE peaked in March with unleaded gasoline 98, 95 and 91 priced at Dh2.03, Dh1.92 and Dh1.85 -respectively. While July saw the lowest petrol and diesel price for the year in the UAE. - waheedabbas@khaleejtimes.com
