Shaikh Hamdan receives Saudi transport minister

DUBAI - Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry, received yesterday Dr Jibara Al Siraisari, Saudi Minister of Transport and Communications.

The two ministers reviewed ways of enhancing bilateral trade and economic relations under the umbrella of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Commitee (AGCC).

Shaikh Hamdan stressed the importance of consultation and coordination among AGCC states in order to strengthen collective cooperation.

The Saudi minister praised the progress made by the UAE in the urban and technological sectors.

The Saudi official is visiting the country at the head of a large delegation to review the experiment of Dubai Ports and Customs Corporation in management, loading, discharing and clearing operations.
