Export of engineering items to this region during 2008-09 stood at $3022 million which was a growth of 16.02 per cent over the figures for 2007-08. UAE ranks second after USA as market for Indian engineering goods and Indian exports to UAE account for approximately 6 per cent of its global exports.
The EEPC, a nodal organisation sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, covers the entire spectrum of engineering industry and has nearly 13,000 member firms.
