Supported by the Visa network, the new co-branded card is accepted in millions of retail outlets worldwide and offers cardholders a wide range of exclusive rewards and loyalty incentives as they make their daily purchases.

Jean Marc Le Brun, Group General Manager of Geant Hypermarkets said: “Research reveals that the retail industry of the region as a whole is set to quadruple by 2010. This means more competition among retailers and the need to offer value added benefits to our customers."

"The launch of this co-branded card is pivotal to growing consumer loyalty especially in a swiftly growing market such as the UAE. Add to this bullish population growth forecasts, and clearly this is an exciting time to be entering this market,” he added.

A new entrant to the Emirates, Geant expects an average footfall of over 3.5 million in just the first year of its operations. The Geant La Carte loyalty programme, Geant Stars Reward Programme, offers a cash-back feature in the form of Geant shopping vouchers.

For every Dh10 spent at Geant, 1 Geant Star will be awarded (equivalent to 1 per cent of card spend). Similarly for every Dh40 spent at non-Geant outlets (other retail outlets across the world), 1 Geant Star will be awarded (equivalent to 0.25 per cent of card spend).

A dedicated kiosk has been specifically set up inside the hypermarket where professional staff will assist cardholders with card application and redemption of Geant Points.
