Foreign investors acquire Dh6.9 billion DFM shares

DUBAI — Foreign investors bought Dh6.901 billion worth of shares and bonds at the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) last week representing 29.7 per cent of the total value of stocks traded from October 8 to November 1.

A public institution having its own corporate body, DFM said the value of stocks sold by foreign investors last week reached Dh5.441 billion or 23.4 per cent of the total value of traded stocks.

It added in a statement that the net foreign investment on the market amounted to Dh1.46 billion for the same period.

Institutional investors bought Dh5.404 billion worth of stocks or 23.2 per cent of the total stocks traded last week. The value of stocks they sold reached Dh4.475 billion, or 19.2 per cent of total stocks traded.
