The opening ceremony of the third edition was attended by Rawdha Al Otaiba, deputy head of mission, UAE Embassy in London; Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management sector at DLD; Ali Rashid Ahmed Lootah, chairman of Nakheel; and Salem Almoosa, chairman and general manager, Falconcity of Wonders.
During the show, which will run for three days, a number of leading real estate companies from Dubai, including Nakheel, Falcon City of Wonders and Sobha, will display a spectrum of real estate projects.
Bin Mejren said: "We chose London to organise this event based on many facts, most prominent of which is the strong relations between the UAE and the UK and the attractiveness of Dubai's real estate for UK investors. British citizens ranked top among the list of nationalities investing in Dubai's real estate market. We are delighted to communicate with UK investors directly to showcase the options our city can offer them."
The interest of British investors in Dubai's real estate market is attributed to the emirate's unique features as one of the best investment and tourism destinations in the world.
Majida commented: "We are delighted to have major real estate developers as well as brokers, banks and law firms offer a range of services to investors. We expect this show to continue the success of the previous two editions."
During the show, Dubai's real estate sector and the variety of options it offers to investors and homebuyers will be highlighted, said Lootah. "The show seeks to annually prove its position as an ideal platform for investors who wish to see and purchase property developments in Dubai."
Dubai is one of the most popular destinations for UK nationals, not just for vacationing and shopping, but for the overall aspirational lifestyle it offers, said P.N.C. Menon, founder and chairman of Sobha Group.
"Over the years, Dubai has emerged as a strong business hub, offering various investment incentives. These factors make it easy to understand why investors from the UK are flocking to Dubai to invest in property. With foreign real estate investments to the tune of Dh162 billion in the first nine months of 2018 the Dubai property market continues to be the preferred investment destination for various nationalities," Menon explained.
