The event is one of many initiatives through which the company seeks to achieve its target of 20 per cent Emiratisation by the end of 2009. The 2009 Careers Show is being held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, from March 29-31, 2009. At the exhibition, Deyaar will have a 72-square metre stand, where it will showcase its various initiatives for students and job seekers, including work placement and internship opportunities.

“At Deyaar, we recognise the importance of developing young talent, not just for our company, but for good of the larger community,” said Markus Giebel, Chief Executive of Deyaar. “As one of the UAE’s leading companies and a responsible corporate entity, Deyaar has always strived to hire and develop the best local talent. This is reflected in the number of UAE nationals involved with Deyaar, which currently stands at 10 per cent of our workforce.

“For 2009, our aim is to increase the number of nationals in the company to 20 per cent of our workforce. As a company, Deyaar provides excellent opportunities for professional and personal growth.
