Aabar's unit wins Indonesia oil deals

ABU DHABI — Abu Dhabi's Aabar Petroleum Investments Co. said on yesterday its subsidiary Pearl Energy won two oil production sharing contracts in Indonesia.

Pearl's wholly owned subsidiary PearlOil (K) Limited will operate the offshore Karana oilfield, while its other subsidiary Pearl Oil (Sandstone) Ltd will hold a 40 per cent interest in the offshore Sibaru concession area. "We welcome the opportunity to work together with new partners and to continue to strengthen our exploration portfolio in Indonesia, where we already hold significant acreage," Pearl's CEO Chris Gibson-Robinson said in a statement, without giving the value of the deals.
